Mark Bartold receives the 2014 IADR/Straumann Award in Regenerative Periodontal Medicine

At the General Session of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) in Cape Town, South Africa, the 2014 IADR/Straumann Award in Regenerative Periodontal Medicine was presented to Professor Mark Bartold in recognition of his remarkable achievements in the field. Professor Bartold has authored more than 230 scientific articles, a number of which focus on his research into the use of periodontal stem cells and the fabrication of bioactive scaffolds for periodontal regeneration.ADDITIONAL READING |Periodontal regeneration: a look at the current and future landscape Worth USD 5000, the award was created to honor significant contributions in basic and/or clinical research in regenerative periodontal or peri-implant medicine.
